“Growing in the grace and knowledge of
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
(2 Peter 3:18)

We believe there is only one true God who is eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, just and loving. We believe that God purposefully created the world and is personally engaged in the lives of human beings.

We believe that every person is uniquely created in the image of God but, through sinful disobedience, is broken and has alienated themselves from God. The result is that every person is in need of atonement, healing and reconciliation.

Jesus Christ

We believe that God entered the world in human form in the person of Jesus Christ; Jesus Christ is both fully human and completely God. Jesus alone has reconciled us with God, revealed God’s character and purchased our redemption with His own blood.

We believe that God’s kingdom is two-fold.  In the first place, His Kingdom refers to the yet future time when Christ returns, as He promised He would, to make all things new and inaugurate His earthly Kingdom.  Until that time, believers are called to represent the sum of God’s Kingdom purposes and values for this world. We look forward with great expectancy a future time when Jesus will return to complete the mission of God to make all things right through his coming judgment and subsequent restorative rule on earth.

We believe that only through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone can our sins be forgiven.  When we place our faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died and rose again to pay our personal penalty for sin, Jesus immediately grants us forgiveness and eternal life, reconciling us to a holy God now and forever.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God and that He permanently indwells all believers at the moment we place our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.  The Holy Spirit is the source of power, guidance and conviction in the life of a believer.  As we yield to the Holy Spirit’s convicting work in our lives, we reflect Christlikeness in our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors.  If we resist the Spirit’s work in our lives, and walk in the flesh, we will reflect the old nature and invite the discipline of God as He molds and shapes us into the person He wants us to become.

Heaven & Hell

We believe that God will fully restore this world by remaking it when the long-awaited Kingdom is fully inaugurated and sin is no longer present. God will create a new space (heaven) to dwell with and rule over His people fully. All who put their faith in Jesus Christ as savior will enjoy eternity in his presence. All who reject Him and His free offer of eternal life will not live in this new space but live in eternal punishment and separation from God (hell).

We believe the Church is the universal community of all believers. The Church finds its best expression in unique, local communities of believers united for the purpose of evidencing the values of the Kingdom of God in the world and making disciples in our local community.

We believe that the Bible was written by human authors under the supernatural inspiration of God and is our sole authority for all matters of faith and practice.
